Antonio Anzueto is Professor of Medicine, Pulmonary- Critical Care, at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Chief of the Pulmonary Disease Section, Director of the Pulmonary Function Laboratory and the Pulmonary Service Spinal Cord Unit at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System, Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital Division, and Medical Director of the Pulmonary Function Laboratory at the University Hospital in San Antonio. Dr Anzueto is on several committees at the University of Texas Health Science Center and is active in many professional organizations, including the American Thoracic Society (ATS).



Norman H Edelman MD
Chief Medical Officer, American Lung Association
Norman H Edelman is the Chief Medical Officer of the American Lung Association. He is also Executive Vice-President for Health Sciences and Professor of Medicine at SUNY Stony Brook University. Professor Edelman is a member of the Association of American Physicians, the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI), the American Federation for Clinical Research (AFCR), and the American Thoracic Society (ATS. He has published extensively in the field of pulmonary diseases and control of breathing and is the author of the American Lung Association?s Family Guide to Asthma and Allergies.

Rochelle Goldberg MD
President, American Sleep Apnea Association (ASAA)
Rochelle Goldberg, MD, is President of the Board of the American Sleep Apnea Association (ASAA). She is also Co-Medical Director for Sleep Medicine Services for the Main Line Health System,Wynnewood, PA. She is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Dr Goldberg?s professional highlights include the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sleep Academic Award and the Helmut Schmidt award for contributions to sleep training, and numerous peerreviewed publications. She is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and sleep medicine.



Edward Grandi MD
Executive Director, American Sleep Apnea Association (ASAA)
Edward Grandi is the Executive Director of the American Sleep Apnea Association (ASAA), a position he has held since May 2004.After graduating he worked in the property and casualty insurance industry, first as a broker with Assurance Incorporated, where he rose to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer, and later as a senior account executive for Hilb, Rogal and Hobbs. Mr Grandi joined the non-profit sector as the Development Director for Safe Haven Outreach Ministry and the InterFaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington.



Michael A Gropper MD, PhD, FCCP
Professor of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care, and Director, Critical Care Medicine, University of California San Francisco (USCF)
Michael A Gropper is Professor of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care, and Director of Critical Care Medicine at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). He is also Professor of Physiology and serves as Chair for Medical Quality at UCSF Medical Center. He has contributed to more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and 25 book chapters, and speaks on a number of topics related to anesthesia and critical care medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, and a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), the International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS), the Association of University Anesthesiologists (AUA), and the American Thoracic Society (ATS).



Marjorie L King MD, FACC, FAACVPR
President, American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR)
Marjorie L King is the President of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR), Director of Cardiac Services at Helen Hayes Hospital, and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University. Dr King was the President of the New York State Association for Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation in 1999?2000. Her academic interests include cardiac rehabilitation in elderly patients and patients with physical disabilities and the role of the medical director in cardiac rehabilitation. She received her MD from MS Hershey-Pennsylvania State University and completed her residency and fellowship training at New York University-Manhattan VA Medical Center.

Sreedhar Nair MD
President, National Emphysema Foundation (NEF)
Sreedhar Nair is President of the National Emphysema Foundation. He is also a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine, and Head of the Beulah Hinds Center for Lung Research and Health Informatics. He is a member of the board of many organizations, such as the National Lung Health Educational Program and the US COPD Coalition. He is an editorial advisor of the Journal of Emphysema and International Journal of COPD, the author of more than 60 publications and has edited three books. He has been a pioneer in the application of computer technology in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Dr Nair was the Director of a World Health Organization (WHO) collaborating center at the Norwalk Hospital. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the World Lung Health Award from the American Thoracic Society (ATS).



Tanya V Oemig RM
President, National Tuberculosis Controllers Association (NTCA)
Tanya V Oemig,RM (NRM),is President of the National Tuberculosis (TB) Controllers Association (NTCA), Respiratory Diseases and International Health Unit Supervisor, and Tuberculosis Program Director at the Wisconsin Division of Public Health. She is a registered microbiologist with the National Registry of Microbiologists and previously worked in the Mycobacteriology Unit at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene.While directing the Tuberculosis Program for Wisconsin, Ms Oemig?s responsibilities have included the development and distribution of policy and procedure guidelines to increase the capacity of local health departments, and development and implementation of a strategic plan for TB elimination.
