European High-Level e-Health Conference 2008. This is a follow up of eHealth 2003 (Brussels), eHealth 2004 (Cork), eHealth 2005 (Tromsø), eHealth 2006 (Malaga) and eHealth 2007 (Berlin).

The ELO Network Working Group of EHTEL (made up of the national competence centres which are members of EHTEL) will hold its meeting on the 5 May.

World of Health IT 2008
Particular attention is recommended to be paid on the educational pre-conference symposium co-organized by EHTEL on 5th November under the title “eHealth – A Challenge for Interdisciplinary Healthcare Planning and Management”. This session will provide participants with an overview of tools, models and concepts for planning, building and deploying of e-health and how to improve management by using the eHealth services. It gathers some of the most recent evidence and has been designed to provide a reference framework to the participants so the session for setting up, managing or contributing to eHealth programmes and services on local, regional and national levels. The targeted public is therefore made-up of executive persons and thought leaders working in ministries of health, regional health boards and hospital groups, competence centres, health insurance institutions and health care provider organisations as well as associations representing a particular eHealth stakeholder group such as clinicians/nurses/patients and citizens.
